Syracuse and Marzamemi will be the heart of a great Dolce & Gabbana event. Still the utmost confidentiality about the type of event and the dates of the same, but it is now clear that the famous fashion brand has chosen Ortigia and the seaside village again as the ideal location.
There are those who talk about an event lasting about 3-4 days, but at the moment they are only rumors with no confirmation, even unofficial. But now it is only a matter of time to understand what is boiling in the pot.
In these days, in fact, Domenico Dolce, also accompanied by the well-known choreographer Giuliano Peparini, have been noticed in the Aretusean capital and in the southernmost part of the province for a series of inspections.
A love that the famous fashion brand has for our territory never subsided: eight years ago, in fact, Syracuse had already been chosen for the official presentation of the commercial for the perfume “Dolce” (also made in Noto) which took place inside of the municipal theater (complete with the donation of three important Murano chandeliers still present in the foyer).
In 2017 the fashion house born in Legnano instead created an exclusive shopping bag with a glimpse of Ortigia distributed in all European DG stores: a tribute to Syracuse for its 2750 years of history.
The following year it was the turn of Marzamemi, with the small square of the Borgo and the neighboring streets chosen for the realization of several shots. And again: in 2020 in Palazzolo Acreide another photographic campaign (shots by Salvo Allibrio) was carried out in black and white, evoking the atmosphere, symbols and traditions of the island.
The love of D & G for Sicily, for Syracuse and for this province is now well known. All that remains is to wait for the details of what one imagines could be one of the most exclusive events of 2022.
